One Step Closer to My Dream

So, I just realized that, on Wednesday, I will have had this blog for a month! What a great accomplishment– no, seriously. Every day is one step closer to my dream.

I’m thinking of posting a longer, well-researched article then. Any thoughts, anyone?

I’d be super happy if I received some ratings or comments! If there’s anything you’re interested in, or heck–bores you to death– tell me please! 🙂 I can only improve.

More Than Just a Pretty Face

Lately, I’ve been struggling w/ titles for my posts and photos, which is why I sometimes hesitate to post stuff. There are times I’ll have witty titles in mind (in my opinion), and other times, I know they fall flat. It’s quite frustrating… If any of you ever have suggestions, please let me know. And if you have time, maybe drop by my deviantArt to make title suggestions. Even worse, I spent quite a while uploading those yesterday, and half aren’t showing up!

When I set up this blog, I asked myself: Why would people want to read your blog? What is special about it? What do you have to share?

The thing is, I don’t want to waste your time. But I DO have something to say; I just needed to pinpoint what my focus was.

As for today’s title, it needs to be revised. But: My point is that I don’t want to just post pretty pics. That’s easy. What I want is to reach out to people, and show them why they should care. I don’t aim to make you who I am, because you are you. For example, just because I don’t wear makeup doesn’t mean you can’t. However, I hope you consider my ideas.

And I’d love to hear your ideas as well. Thanks so much!

Here’s a random pic to make it worth your while:

Thoughts Like Floating Clouds

From here on out, I will be referring to my random thoughts as “floating clouds.” In case you’re confused, it’s ok; it’s merely a term we use in one of my yoga classes…

I will never run out of ideas, but to keep things short and sweet, or as my yoga master has said, “economical with your words.” I’ll try…

1. Who decided that girls have to wear makeup, even though guys don’t?

Q. Why are you introducing yourself via your own Q&A?

A. hopefully an easier way to read; readers, please let me kno if there’s something more convenient for you

Q. Why is this blog called what it is?

A. The  number 7 is random, but I’ll do a spin on that later. As for the second part, I believe imperfections are beautiful, and that’s what sets us apart from each other. I once read a story about a woman who would only accept “flawed” stone jewels because she thought polished and perfect stones to be prosaic. This is what comes to mind.

Q. Have you ever made a blog before?

A. Indeed, I am somewhat technology-impaired, I admit. I have had a livejournal before, but after annoying experiences with it, I decided to start anew. I consider myself a newbie. All the choices and themes and stuff is overwhelming!– but in a good way, I guess. Wonderful to have so many choices, no?

Q. What will you be blogging about?

A. For now, I will blog about anything that comes to mind. However, my main topics will be:

1) fashion

2) dreams

3) yoga/meditation/sanskrit> program I’m starting

4) anything else

Q. Isn’t that too wide a focus, if it could be called a “focus?”

A. Absolutely, I hope to narrow down my focus, after some time, experience, and feedback.

Q. What is your goal for readers?

A. I hope readers will tell me what they honestly think. I have this horrible (Sagittarian foot-in-mouth disease) tendency to inadvertently offend others by my straightforward remarks. Please remember these are my opinions. And if anything is worded strangely or it confuses or offends, please let me know right away. I truly believe in honest feedback.

Most of all, I hope readers find my blog entertaining, organized, and easy to read.

Q. Any disclaimers?

A. I ramble a lot, so please bear with me! And I’m kinda formal and unconventional….

Thanks for reading!
